Yesterday, I was back on the hallowed grounds of my alma mater, Purdue University, for Homecoming! ๐โฌ๏ธ๐
This is Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park and it does not disappoint. Itโs one of the clearest bodies of water Iโve ever seen. I visited it about a month ago first time and cannot wait to go back again to see the serene views and lush vegetation, and wildlife. I bet it looks pretty good right about now as all leaves begin to change colors. Where is your favorite place to view the fall foliage? ๐

September 11, 2001โ a day that's forever seared into our memories, is twenty-two years ago today. There's not a soul who doesn't remember where they were that day. I was working in a high-rise in downtown Chicago. I remember the fear and hysteria that came over everyone as we saw things unfold, which led to proactively evacuating the city. I remember running down the middle of the street with a mob of people as we all tried to get home safely any way we could. It was a gut-wrenching, life-altering moment that changed America to its core.
What a legend! He was a songwriter but also an entrepreneur that knew how to build a community. Thank you, Jimmy Buffett, for everything. You will be missed, but your energy and relaxing frame of mind and perspective lives on through your songs forever. Gone too soon. Rest In Peace, Jimmy Buffett. ๐๐ฉต#RIPJimmyBuffett #ripjb #RIPJimmy #JimmyBuffett
Last night we attended the Above Board Maine annual Endless Summer Party at the Boathouse in Kennebunkport, Maine. DJ Lloyd had everyone grooving all night as we danced by the waterfront. And I think I ate my fair share of fresh shucked oysters. There was even a bit of mystery involved as a fictional murder mystery unfolded in front of everyones eyes to take a crack at solving for a prize. It reminded me of playing the board-game Clue as a kid.
There's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in August in Maine than exploring Libbyโs Cove. As I paddled along the coastline, immersed in the picturesque scenery the sun's warm rays hit my skin while the cool, salty water and gentle sea breeze offered up the perfect opportunity for natural temperature regulation. Summer is definitely in full swing in Maine and Iโve learned to enjoy every moment you can while it lasts. ๐๐ถ๐
Yesterday I had an absolute blast at the Tommy McNamara Charity Foundation 9th Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament in Kennebunk, Maine, playing for the Above Board team! ๐๐
Have a good weekend! ๐ถ
